How should nanomaterials be packaged for storage & transport?

Home FAQCurrent guidance recommends that dispersible nanomaterials, whether suspended in liquids or dry particle form, should be packaged in closed (tightly sealed) containers whenever possible for both storage and transport (NIOSH, 2012). Containers should be unbreakable and clearly labelled to indicate the chemical content and form of the nanomaterials. Secondary containment (e.g. double bagging or another form of containment should be used to prevent accidental spillage.
