EU UltraWire project featured on BBC News Click Programme

Date: 19/4/2016

The European UltraWire project, funded under Framework Programme 7 (FP7), has been featured on the Click programme, a flagship technology show broadcast by the BBC News Channel. UltraWire aims to develop a copper-nanocarbon composite with significantly improved overall properties, including electrical, thermal and mechanical performances over bulk copper.

SAFENANO leads the safety and risk work package in UltraWire, involving the detailed characterisation and assessment of the potential risks presented by materials and processes, developed throughout the duration of the project. Through our role in the project, we identify and recommend appropriate risk management measures that support the safe and sustainable development of the UltraWire technologies, contributing to minimising barriers to future commercialisation.
